Dr. Alison Burks, Au.D., is a highly experienced Doctor of Audiology dedicated to serving the community of Ventura County since 2009. Originally from New Orleans, LA, Dr. Burks obtained her B.S. undergraduate degree in Communication Science Disorders from Hattiesburg, MS. Seeking further expertise, she pursued her clinical doctorate degree in Audiology in Springfield, MO. During her Audiology Doctoral Externship at the Veteran’s Administration in Seattle and Tacoma, WA, Dr. Burks gained invaluable clinical knowledge and a well-rounded education in the field of Audiology.

In her rewarding career, Dr. Burks has successfully applied her extensive expertise to provide exceptional care to her patients. Her services include comprehensive diagnostic testing, fitting of hearing aids, specialized work with cochlear implants, and active involvement in community outreach programs and educational events. As a presenter, she has shared her knowledge on diverse topics such as hearing education, the distinction between Audiologists and hearing aid dispensers, and hearing aid education. Dr. Burks has also demonstrated her expertise in the industry by presenting at state conferences on cochlear implants and providing advice on 3rd party insurances to private practice owners through national Audiologist groups.

Being personally connected to family members with hearing impairments, Dr. Burks possesses a deep compassion for patients with hearing loss. She believes in guiding and supporting her patients throughout their journey to better hearing and an improved quality of life. As a testament to her commitment to professional growth, Dr. Burks is an active member of renowned organizations including the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), and the California Academy of Audiology (CAA).
